Consistency is what shapes us.

I want to start off by saying that this quote from Tony Robbins is just... WOW!
"It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives.  It's what we do consistently..."
Isn't that the truth?  Think about it.  Habits, good or bad, are formed with consistency.  We can consistently make good decisions and move toward improving our life and future, or we can do the exact opposite.  Either way, the end result is that we reap what we consistently sow.  I think this scripture is fitting:
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Galatians 6:9 NIV
I think most people lose excitement and motivation easily while they're waiting on that harvest.  And because of that, it's easy to lose sight of the change you want to make.  I recently ran across this article called The Stages of Change.  It outlines 6 stages that one will go through while trying to break habits and achieve goals.
  1. PreContemplation
  2. Contemplation
  3. Preparation
  4. Action
  5. Maintenance
  6. Termination
Now, I'd already started on my journey to change before reading this, but I was excited to see that I'm currently on step number 5 by being consistent.  Contrary to popular belief, it takes longer than 21 days to form or break a habit.  But I do think it's a good starting point to work toward doing something continuously for 21 consecutive days.  This will definitely get you well on your way to being successful in achieving your goals.  According to the article I linked above, the 6th stage, Termination (don't see this as a negative stage to reach) is obtained when
"the behavior change is completely integrated, and the temptation to revert to the former behavior is entirely gone. This element of behavior change is no longer something you have to “do” — it’s just who you are."
Sadly, it also says that only about 15-20% of people make it to the final stage of change.  This is because it's so easy to fall back into what you comfortably know.  I'm committed to being uncomfortable for the time needed to change my life.  I'm sick of having a mountain of debt, and sick of living paycheck to paycheck.  We have dreams and plans for our family, and the only way to make those a reality is to make some serious changes.

So, my journey to change and pay off debt has reached day 42.  Every Friday since we started this commitment, I've awoken driven and ready to tell our money where it needs to go that week (read how we do it here).   Today was so different though.  I am watching my niece today, so that was immediately on my mind.  And I stayed up way too late doing laundry last night (like, seriously, way too late)...so I was focusing on my lack of sleep as well.  The kids were in and out of my room this morning excited to have their cousin here, and I got side tracked.  I found myself in the kitchen, making a pot of coffee, getting my breakfast ready and my vitamins to take, when it hit me that it's Friday.  One thing I do know is that if I didn't go sit down and get things paid ASAP, I'd find myself in the same place I ended up last year when I attempted to start this same journey.  One day of not working toward my goal could cause some serious set backs.  That's exactly the mistake I made a year ago.  After 1 month of working toward our goals, one day I told myself, "I'm busy right now...I'll get that done later."  Later literally turned into 4 months down the road.  I went from rocking things, and "I'm gonna change" in February 2013 to not contemplating my goals again until June 2013.  And when I did "start" again in June...yeah, that lasted all of 2 weeks.  I'm just being very real with you right now.  I know what can happen if I don't follow through.  Last year I was consistently lazy.  And it's very easy to do.  I consistently made excuses and told myself the same lie: I'll do it later.

A good report for today.  Because I made the decision to go sit down ASAP, I'm didn't miss a day working toward our goals.  And we paid off another credit card today!!!  That's 2 down, and 6 to go.  It wouldn't have happened if I'd allowed myself to make excuses that "I'm tired," "I'm busy," "The kids need me right this second."  Imagine any excuse and insert it here _____________.  I've had too many for too long keep me from changing things for the better.  However, today I beat those excuses and added another accomplishment toward reaching financial freedom.

One way we make money in our business: Wrap Cash

It's a question we get anytime someone is interested in what we do:  "How do you make money?"  Well, it's easier than what you think.  Everyone knows someone (usually a lot of people) that want to be healthier, slimmer, and/or wants to make extra money.  Personally, I wanted all those things.  We really do have the perfect opportunity for everyone.  We make money a number of ways with ItWorks!  Usually, the first money we make after joining is what we call Wrap Cash.  This is cash in pocket that comes from selling our most popular product: Body Wraps.  It's a perfect product to share because you can see results from using it in as little as 45 minutes.  Crazy, right?!?  Well, I've said it before...we all need a little crazy from time to time (I just get to live it more than others).  Anyway, take a couple minutes to see exactly how to make a minimum of $400 CASH IN POCKET during your first 30 days with ItWorks!  Then, if you'd like to make money like we and our team do, click HERE to message me.  Keep in mind, the Wrap Cash is extra, and doesn't include the commissions and bonuses we earn.
